Company Questions

MyCRC is a division of Certn, a global background check company that works with some of North America’s biggest brands to deliver a variety of background checks including education, employment, credit, driving records, and professional references.

Your privacy is of the utmost importance, which is why we use several layers of security. We use industry-standard SSL encryption on our website, meaning your information can’t be viewed or tampered with. All data is then protected and securely stored in an offsite data center, and all MyCRC employees undergo extensive personal screening and are bound by confidentiality agreements. Lastly, MyCRC complies with all federal, state and local privacy laws, meaning we’re just as secure as your local bank.

Report Questions

Your background check can show convictions and pending cases based on federal, state, county, and city reporting guidelines. The information returned on a background check typically includes offense information, case outcome, related dates and sentencing.

A background check can take minutes to process but can also sometimes take up to 72 hours. In rare cases, it takes longer depending on the location of the checks.

Reports are securely sent to the email address specified on your application. We don’t physically mail reports to protect your information, and to avoid tampering. If you haven’t received a completed report, please contact support at 844-323-7869 or [email protected] for faster response.

Review means that a potential criminal record match has been found based on the information you provided during this check. While inaccuracies are extremely rare, it can happen. If you think this might have happened to you, you can file a dispute here or by contacting [email protected].

If you feel there is a mistake on your report you can use this form (Dispute Form) or contact us at [email protected].

No. Unfortunately, once you submit your check we are unable to provide a refund. Refunds will not be issued if you order the incorrect product or dispute the report findings.

Other Questions

No. To determine your visa eligibility, or your entry status for the US or Canada, you must contact either CBSA or US Customs.

For convictions that you’d like to be expunged, pardoned, dropped, or cleared, you will need to work with the reporting court directly and they will provide you details.

As a 3rd party service provider of background checks, we do not provide prepaid access codes of MyCRC applications or redeem vouchers issued by other organizations for discounted background checks.

Requesting a background check will not affect your credit score.

The searches that employers typically do include a national criminal database check and a 7 year county criminal check. However, many employers will have their own requirements and may need to review employment, education, or check credentials.
